Appointments & booking
Let the assistant offer your available time slots and book appointments during a conversation — no external calendar required.
How it works
Open a chatbot → Appointments. Set your weekly availability and turn on the booking flow. When a visitor shows intent to schedule, the assistant offers your next free slots, collects their email, books the slot, and emails a confirmation to both the visitor and you.
Set availability
Configure how slots are generated:
- →Timezone — IANA name (e.g. Asia/Karachi); 'Detect' fills your browser's
- →Slot duration — 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 minutes
- →Minimum notice — how many hours ahead a slot must be
- →Bookable window — how many days ahead visitors can book
- →Weekly hours — enable each day and set its start/end time
Booking during chat
Booking is powered by the assistant's actions: it calls a 'get available slots' action to offer times, then a 'book appointment' action once the visitor picks a slot and provides their email. Slots already taken are never offered, and a double-booking guard prevents two visitors claiming the same time.
Confirmations
On a successful booking, AskGPT emails the visitor a confirmation and notifies you (the owner). Upcoming appointments are listed on the Appointments tab.
Google Calendar (roadmap)
Two-way Google Calendar sync (reading real busy times and writing events) is planned. The built-in scheduler above is fully functional today and will continue to work alongside it.
